Handle by the Brim
Always pick up and place your hat by the front and back of the brim — never the crown — to preserve its shape.
Made to Last
A Krown Kulture piece is crafted to be worn for years. A little care keeps your 100% Australian wool looking as regal as the day it arrived.
Simple habits that keep your crown in its prime.
Always pick up and place your hat by the front and back of the brim — never the crown — to preserve its shape.
Rest it on a hat rack, hook, or in its box. Upside-down on the crown for soft styles to protect the brim.
Wool is naturally water-resistant. If it gets damp, let it air-dry at room temperature, away from direct heat.
Use a soft hat brush in a counter-clockwise motion to lift dust and keep the felt looking fresh.
A little steam from a kettle relaxes the wool, so you can gently reshape the brim or crown by hand.
Give a favourite a day off between wears so the wool can recover its shape and stay crisp.
Remove surface dust with a soft brush, working counter-clockwise.
Dab marks gently with a slightly damp cloth. Never soak the wool.
Hold briefly over steam to lift marks and relax the felt.
Reshape by hand and let it air-dry on a flat surface or stand.
Caring for your Krown Kulture suiting and wool garments.
Have wool suits and jackets professionally dry-cleaned — sparingly, only when truly needed.
Refresh garments with a steamer to release creases without flattening the weave.
Store on shaped wooden hangers in a breathable garment bag to hold the tailoring.
Light rain is fine — wool is naturally water-resistant. If it gets wet, gently shake off excess water and let it air-dry at room temperature, away from radiators or direct heat.
Hold it briefly over the steam from a kettle to relax the wool, then gently reshape the crown and brim with your hands. Let it cool and set before wearing.
Never. Machine washing, tumble drying, or submerging will ruin the shape and felt. Spot-clean only, following the steps above.
Loosely stuff the crown with tissue to help it hold shape, and carry it in a hat box where possible. For soft styles, pack it crown-down nestled in clothing — or simply wear it.
Clean and fully dry, kept in its box or on a stand in a cool, dry place away from sunlight and moisture. Avoid stacking anything on top.
